Eddie Howe has reflected on Newcastle United’s 4-0 rout against Aston Villa.
The superb win keeps United in the Champions League places and sets them up perfectly for next week’s trip to Southampton.
Howe’s side piled the pressure on Villa after the break and could have easily doubled their final scoreline.

Howe said afterwards: “The lads really competed well. It was a bity first half, very stop-start. Thankfully in the second half we were outstanding.
“That is up there with one of the best performances of the season.”
The win was largely inspired by Callum Wilson’s two goal display.
Howe said: "I'm really pleased for Callum [Wilson]. Penalties are never easy but he put it away well. He was at the heart of a lot of our good football.”
Miguel Almiron netted another fantastic strike to put the lid on the victory. Howe said: "It was an outstanding finish by Miguel. Thankfully in the second half we were able to express ourselves better.”
