Eddie Howe has issued an update on Fabian Schar after his gruelling performance against Manchester United.
The Switzerland international put his body on the line in the stalemate at Old Trafford and played a huge part in earning a clean sheet at the Theatre of Dreams. But after taking a couple of big knocks - including one blow to the head - Howe spoke of his admiration for the defender.
Schar was eventually subbed in stoppage time but Howe expects him to dust himself down and be ready for the clash against Everton.

Howe said: "He has a few knocks. He had one to the head, one to the foot, a few different things, but, touch wood, he’s OK.
"He was suffering from cramp in the end. The hallmark of a good team is being hard to beat, defensive solidity. I just felt we were a little bit off with the ball. We lost that little bit of zip, but you have to respect the opposition."
Howe also revealed at Old Trafford that Alexander Isak would be sidelined until December after a recurrence of his thigh injury. It means that Chris Wood will be thrown a lifeline in terms of game-time.
Wood has made just one start in the top-flight this season, away to Wolves in the 1-1 draw, but is yet to score in the league. Wood did show some prowess in the League Cup away to Tranmere in August but has just two Prem goals to his name since his £25million move from Burnley in the summer.
Speaking about Wood two months ago, Howe said: "Chris Wood has performed really well since he's joined us."
Wood will now battle with Callum Wilson for the central striker role but Howe made it clear that the packed schedule ahead will see everybody in the squad used. Newcastle face Everton in midweek before a trip to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
