Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is the first English manager to win more than 20 Premier League matches in a single year during the 21st century.
The Magpies registered their 21st league victory of 2022 courtesy of a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day.
Goals from Chris Wood, Miguel Almiron and Joelinton helped guide Newcastle to a sixth straight league win, and saw them climb above Manchester City and into second-place.
Although Man City can leapfrog Newcastle when they face Leeds United on Wednesday evening, the Magpies will still sit among the top four at the end of the year.

Newcastle collected 12 wins from their final 19 games under Howe last term, and have built on their strong end to 2021/22 during the current campaign.
The Magpies have lost just once in 16 league games this term and have registered eight wins in their last nine in the Premier League.
