Eddie Howe will wait for a morning assessment on Ryan Fraser after the Scotland winger suffered a first half injury against Wolves.
However, the former Bournemouth star left St James' Park in good spirits last night and Howe could only reflect on the unexpected reshuffled after just 12 minutes against Wanderers. The Newcastle boss was asked about the injury, and said: "It looks like a hamstring issue. I don't know how serious it is, but it was obviously enough to bring him off the pitch today, which is a huge blow with the form that he's been in."
Fraser was replaced by Miguel Almiron early in the game but the Paraguay international had his best game in months. Howe said: "Miggy came on and I thought he did really, really well, so I was very pleased with his impact."

And looking back on the huge win, Howe added: "It feels like a big win for us. Off the back of the three defeats that we had away from home, we knew we had to respond, especially with the second half against Tottenham.
"I'm very, very pleased with everybody because it was always going to be a very difficult game tonight, the way that Wolves play and the fact that they're a very difficult team to break down.
"Those five bodies across the back defend well for them, so it was always going to be, in my opinion, a game of few chances, but it was just whether we could take an opportunity that came our way and we could defend well enough to deal with their threat, and I thought we did that really, really well tonight."
