Eddie Howe has been handed a treble fitness boost ahead of the home clash against Brentford at St James' Park. His talisman Allan Saint-Maximin has trained and is in a "good place" for the encounter against the Bees after a hamstring injury, while Joelinton is ready after shaking off a knee injury.
Intriguingly, Howe will also run the rule over Jonjo Shelvey in training this morning after he returned from a calf injury. Meanwhile, Alexander Isak is also improving but is highly unlikely to feature this weekend.
Speaking to a packed Press conference ahead of the game, Howe spoke of Saint-Maximin's status and said: "Allan is doing OK. "He has trained this week, we are pleased with him and he's making good progress. There is a chance he will be in the squad."

When asked about Alexander Isak, Howe said: "That is unknown at the moment. "He is running on grass and increasing his speed and is in a good place. "The medical team are just holding him back.
"He suffered a muscle problem to his thigh. "The scan wasn't overly bad, but the medical team are being cautious."
When summing up Shelvey's situation, with the midfielder hurt when injuring a calf in Lisbon in pre-season against Benfica, Howe said: "It's going very well and Jonjo is ahead of schedule.
"He is hopefully going to be involved with us in training for the first time. "There will still be precaution from me and the medical team over when he's ready to play but he is certainly making positive strides at the moment."
Howe also confirmed that Joelinton is back in training after a knee injury kept him out of the trip to Fulham last weekend.
