Eddie Hearn would accept $10million to fight Jake Paul after "30 second" dig

Eddie Hearn has told Jake Paul that he would accept an offer of $10million to fight him in the boxing ring.

Hearn and Paul are co-promoting the historic undisputed title clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden in New York. The pair were placed head-to-head during a face-off with both men in opposite corners for the main event.

The Matchroom Boxing promoter has claimed any boxing event between the pair would do "huge numbers" but has admitted he cannot fight. “It would be massive!," Hearn said during. face-off with Paul. "In the UK, there’s so many people that want to see me get knocked out. It would do like two million pay-per-view buys in the UK. And if I lose the bet, then I’ll take $10m to fight Jake Paul, and I just take the UK pay-per-view. He can have all the other revenue around the world."

Paul then interjected: “You know if we fought, it’d be 30 seconds.” Hearn then responded: "I disagree. It would be a big favour. I’m terrible. But like I said, for $10 million, I’d do it.” Paul is eyeing a return to the ring in August in what would be his sixth professional appearance in the ring.

The YouTube star has a growing reputation in the sport having recorded KO of the year for his highlight-reel stoppage of Tyron Woodley last December. Hearn promoted Paul's boxing debut against AnEson Gib and is now promoting a fight alongside the YouTuber who represents Serrano.

Hearn and Paul have already gone face-to-face during a mock face-off and have agreed a $1m wager on the winner of the bumper title showdown. The pair were involved during a heated discussion over Paul's launched fighting career where the boxing promoter branded his performances "average".

Hearn started: "I would have said no chance he would be where he is at in his boxing career. I didn't know if he had any ability, he fought AnEson Gib who was terrible on the night and Jake looked pretty average as well as it was two YouTubers."

Paul quickly fired back: "Don't start this off like that. I beat him in one minute. How do you assess how good I am? You called me average after one minute of my fight? Hearn explained: "You are average, no but you are still average. You beat a UFC champion, it is true I don't know where you might go yet but I am entitled to my opinion as to where I think you will go. Paul quickly stepped in: "You don't know my ability?"

Hearn continued: "Average is very complimentary to you as a boxer. What is average? Someone that can go and win an inter-continental title, that is a good achievement for someone who has not a lot of boxing experience I actually give him credit."
