Eddie Hearn shares mocking text from Tyson Fury after Dillian Whyte Wembley sell-out

Eddie Hearn has revealed that Tyson Fury sent him a mocking text message after tickets for his bout against Dillian Whyte flew out on sale. Over 85,000 tickets were sold on the first day of sales, with fans desperate to secure attendance to one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

On Wednesday evening, co-promoter Frank Warren announced that tickets for the bout at the home of English football were close to selling out entirely. That came despite comments from Hearn last week when he questioned whether the fight would be a sell-out and he has now admitted that Fury has been using a clip of his quotes to mock him.

“Fury was messaging me last night with a clip of me going, ‘Oh, I don’t think it will sell out,'" he told iFL TV. "He was like, ‘Haa.’ I’m like, mate, how are you sitting at home thinking about me?

“I said to him, ‘It’s very cute that you’re thinking about me sweet cheeks, I’ll see you soon.' That’s what I replied."

“I get a few calls [from him] now and again, missed calls when he’s out and about. Listen, I actually like Tyson Fury, I don’t mind him at all. He’s a lot different in person to what you see on social media, a lot different. He’s actually a very knowledgeable boxing head as well.

“Last time I was with him, he actually went through our entire stable talking about [them], he knows his stuff.

“I have no problem with him, but I do find it funny that they think of me. I’m just over here, minding my own business, doing Canelo Alvarez. He sent me that video and I replied with the head-to-head from Canelo. I said, ‘I’m busy at the moment, mate."
