Eddie Hearn has left Katie Taylor fans wondering what is next for the undisputed lightweight champion with a cryptic Facebook comment.
Matchroom boss and Taylor's promoter Hearn commented on a post made by the 'Cris Cyborg UFC' page, which showed an image of the Bray fighter and the Brazilian.
The caption read: "Every Belt in Combat Sports".
The post prompted Hearn to comment with a thinking face emoji, which led to people wondering if he is considering making a fight between the Bellator featherweight champion and Taylor.
But a lot of fight fans had the same opinion of how a crossover bout between the MMA star and Taylor would go.
One commented: "Taylor would take her to school and then destroy her."
Another said: "Katie Taylor would destroy her in a boxing match."
Someone else posted: "Katie Taylor would destroy her in the 1st Round."
Cyborg, 36, is one of the biggest names in combat sports and has expressed her desire to switch from MMA to boxing.
She told the BBC recently: "Before I finish my career, for sure it's one of my dreams to box.
"In the beginning of my career before MMA, I was doing boxing and then I did MMA. I did wrestling, Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu but never had the opportunity to do boxing."
Bellator boss Scott Coker has also opened the door for Cyborg to make the switch.
He said: "She told me she wants to spend the next three, four months training to get ready for a fight.
"We'll see what happens after that. In her contract she does have the right to box and she hasn't done it yet. So I think she wants to go and really try it. We're supportive, of course."
Taylor has been linked with a massive Croke Park rematch with Amanda Serrano following her historic win over the Puerto Rican in New York weeks ago.
But Hearn has stated that the 35-year-old has a number of options for her next fight.
He told IFL TV: “There are three fights for Katie Taylor next. There is Cris Cyborg, Holly Holm or Amanda Serrano. We’ve had an approach from government level in Ireland, they want to do Croke Park, it would be an incredible moment for Katie Taylor.
“Those three names would be fine to that. I would like to do a Serrano rematch, it should a great fight, and we are talking to Jake Paul and Nakisa (Bidarian from Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions company) about that rematch.
“If we can agree on terms we’d love to go straight into the rematch and create an event that will be remembered even beyond Madison Square Garden."
