Eddie Hall "warms up" Thor Bjornsson's chair by rubbing bare bum on seat

Eddie Hall trolled Thor Bjornsson ahead of their boxing match by rubbing his bare bum on his rival's chair while preparing for an interview.

The Brit arrived first for the pair's face-to-face conversation ahead of the fight, and proceeded to pull his pants down and rub his bum on his rival's seat before he arrived. Hall has been playing mind games with Bjornsson throughout the build-up to the event, which takes place on Saturday night.

And the antics between the pair have generally taken a disgusting slant, with both men spitting at each other during a heated face-off at a local gym when they ran into one another. Bjornsson has apologised for his part in the incident, while Hall has yet to respond after a clip of the altercation went viral.

The duo's bitter rivalry dates back to a feud during their days as strongmen, particularly the 2017 World's Strongest Man competition. Hall won the tournament despite accusations of cheating from Bjornsson, who vowed never to compete in the sport again.

The Icelandic giant went on to win the competition the following year, but in 2020 vowed to never compete again after a video from Hall that looked to debunk his claims was co-signed by hosts Giants Live.

During a live Twitch stream in 2020, Bjornsson explained that he was "absolutely done" with the sport, saying: I would never in my life compete for Giants Live again, never, and I probably would never compete at World’s Strongest Man again ever. I’m probably retired.

“That was just the last straw for me, that BS video, and that Giants Live posted as well was just the last straw, those motherf***ers went too far and I’m done with this, I’m not competing for those guys ever again. I might do the Arnold Strongman Classic, but Giants Live, never.”

And the pair have since signed on to settle their differences in the boxing ring, with Bjornsson favoured to win given his combat experience. He has fought Devon Larratt, an arm-wrestling champion who he knocked out in a round, and competed in exhibitions with professional boxers Simon Vallily and Steven Ward.

Meanwhile, Hall has had a stop-start early career, suffering a shoulder injury that required surgery last year which kept him out of their originally scheduled September date. He has since been sparring intensely, but many fans and experts feel that Bjornsson will be too big for the beginner.

The pair do battle at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium on Saturday night in a fight dubbed the "heaviest boxing match in history".
