Eddie Hall teases Thor Bjornsson fight date announcement as he issues KO warning

Eddie Hall has confirmed that his fight with Thor Bjornsson will happen within the next two months after years of build-up between the pair.

And he has promised to stop his fellow strongman rival when they finally do get into the ring, having begun to hone his skills after a severe bicep injury that required surgery last year.

The pair first confirmed that they would be settling their years-long rivalry dating back to strongman days in the ring back in 2020, with a date initially set for last September.

But when Hall was forced out with an injury, Bjornsson instead opted to take on Devon Larratt in Dubai, stopping him within seconds in a massive mismatch.

And the Icelandic fighter will face a must tougher test in Hall, who has been training for years minus the surgery rehab, and has lost a massive amount of weight to get in fight shape.

“The fight is going to be announced very soon," Hall confirmed on his YouTube channel. "We are roughly seven weeks to the fight.

“Strength and conditioning is still at the top of my list. I still want to stay big and strong."

And he has promised to stop his old rival in what he says "won't be much of a fight".

The Icelandic giant, who shot to fame with a starring role on Game of Thrones, has been dropped once in an exhibition bout with Simon Valilly, who is a much higher level fighter than Hall.

But he easily took out arm wrestling champion Larratt, who was a raw beginner with just weeks of training, and should expect a tougher task against Hall.

“Seven weeks until the fight," Hall added, before correcting himself. "Let me rephrase that.

"Seven weeks until Thor gets knocked out, it’s not going to be much of a fight.

“I’m very confident. I’m a very confident man, but I’m very, very confident about this.

“I’ve been in the ring with some great boxers and I’ve more than held my own against some very good professionals at a very high level.

“So I’m very confident going into this, as always. I’m looking forward to it.

“I will let all the details be announced as soon as they are, tickets will be on sale soon and I hope some of you guys can make it out to support and shout and whatever else.

“Thank you for supporting.”

Hall has kept his cards close to his chest when it comes to training footage, while Bjornsson has been comfortable to step into the ring for exhibition bouts with high-level professionals like Valilly and Steven Ward.

Johnny Fisher has stopped by Hall's gym to train with him, as well as Thomas Carty, both solid professionals with unbeaten records in their young careers to date.

Both Hall and Bjornsson have won the world's strongest man competition in the past and have been at odds over cheating allegations in weight lifting for a number of years.
