Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson will fight at 1am as bitter rivals clash in ring

Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson will clash at 1am in Dubai as the pair come face-to-face in their long-awaited grudge match.

Hall was ready to settle his rivalry with Bjornsson last year but he suffered a detached bicep which meant the fight date had to be shelved.

The pair have exchanged heated words and verbal jabs throughout recent months and have finally had their illustrious fight confirmed.

However the fight will not take place until the early hours in Dubai with the 'heaviest boxing match in history' taking place at 1am at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium.

Fans in the UK can expect the main event to begin at around 9pm on domestic shores.

The bout will finally take place on March 19 after the date was finally confirmed with the pair set to finally go face-to-face during fight week.

Bjornsson has already taken to the ring three times already having previously held exhibitions with Steven Ward and Simon Valily.

His most recent fight came against arm-wrestler Devon Larratt who stepped in as a late replacement for Hall after he required surgery on his injury.

Bjornsson recorded a dominant first-round stoppage in a complete mismatch before calling out his rival Hall once again.

The Icelandic star has warned Hall that he will not tolerate any further excuses and will be disappointed if his rival withdraws from their bout which is just under two weeks away.

"I am that confident going into this fight that I am not worried about any of the travelling," Bjornsson said on his YouTube channel. "It is just going to make me stronger.

"I am super excited to go to Dubai, everything is coming together. A lot of people are commenting online saying 'what is Eddie's next excuse going to be next?'

"I hope that he is not going to pull out of this fight again with a new injury, Eddie we are this close just train smart, remember to rest and don't get injured.

"Honestly it wouldn't surprise me but I would be f****** f****** disappointed because I want to beat your a**.

"You can't do that man for the fans and for the people. He actually said last time that he was willing to fight injured so there is no excuses now Eddie."

Hall has yet to take to the boxing ring but has been hard in training making a remarkable body transformation to reach prime condition for the boxing match.

He has warned his opponent that he will come in heavier after piling on weight over Christmas in a bid to increase his punch power in the ring.

Bjornsson has also been preparing well for the fight and has been training with Scottish trainer Billy Nelson.
