Ed Stafford's wife Laura Bingham welcomes miracle twins after miscarriage heartbreak

Laura Bingham has welcomed a beautiful set of twins with husband Ed Stafford.

The explorer, who already shares three-year-old son Ran with her other half, announced the exciting news of their new arrivals on social media.

Laura and Ed welcomed Mary and Camilla - or Molly and Milly for short - into their family unit on Wednesday.

Taking to Instagram, the 27-year-old shared a gorgeous glimpse at the new additions to their happy family.

She wrote: "Welcome to the world!! After causing me some worry and stress with when they might come, we decided last minute to break my waters. If the contractions began, it was a sign they were ready, if they didn’t, we would go ahead with the natural Caesarian.

"Thankfully my precious girls decided it was a good day to be born! 3.5ish hours from waters being broken to both being born.

"Molly was born in the pool and Milly was born very soon after on the bed. Both nice and healthy and safe.️ I lost quite a bit of blood so I’m staying in overnight but I can’t wait to introduce Ran to his new sisters tomorrow!"

Also, Laura thanked the NHS midwives at the General in Leicester for all their help during the birth.

Happily she showed off her twins to her fans on Instagram.

She added: "The nhs midwives at the General in Leicester have been phenomenal and really open to allowing me to go with my flow and assisting me where they could.

"So let me introduce to you; Mary Elizabeth Stafford and Camilla Claire Stafford (Molly and Milly for short ️)."

Back in February, Laura announced that she was pregnant again after suffering a devastating miscarriage.

The overwhelmed star took to Instagram to share the happy news when she wrote: "SURPRISE!

"Two years and one miscarriage later, we finally got there!

"Thank you to everyone for persevering with me through my loathing the world period."

Opening up about her pregnancy to Mirror Online earlier this year, Laura shared her worries about giving birth to not one baby but two.

"The babies are growing perfectly. My only worry is how I’m going to manage giving birth to two," she revealed.

While she was completely overjoyed to be welcoming twins, Laura couldn't help but be nervous too after they tragically lost their twin girls at 14 weeks in December 2018.

Opening up about the devastating loss, Laura told the Mirror: "It's the most traumatic thing I've been through.

"I've put my body through hell and back on my travels, but losing my babies was the hardest thing."

After surviving the devastating loss of their babies, Laura and Ed decided to eventually try again.

After choosing to go ahead with artificial insemination, their wishes were granted when they fell pregnant with another set of twins.

The exploring celebrities met through their love of adventure and have faced huge challenges together.

Laura has cycled 4,350 miles across South America and in 2018 led the first descent of Guyana’s Essequibo River.

Meanwhile, Ed set a record in 2010 as the first person to walk the 3,976-mile length of the Amazon River over a gruelling 30 months.

He also starred in TV series Naked And Marooned, surviving for two months on a deserted island.

The loved-up couple got engaged just three months after making it official back in 2015.

Laura and Ed, 44, married in 2016 and their doting son Ran arrived in June 2017.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
