Ed Sheeran toasts to Dublin crowd with well deserved pint of Guinness

It’s all over, Ed Sheeran has had two successful nights in Dublin and he couldn’t leave us without a final goodbye.

The Perfect singer toasted to the Croke Park crowd who sang along with him on Saturday and Sunday night.

Around 160,000 fans saw him at the Dublin venue over the weekend and the chart topper dubbed the experience as ”probably one of my favourite shows I’ve ever played”.

He raised a pint of plain to his fans and shared it on Instagram.

He said: “Dublin, night two in Croke Park, thank you so much for coming out to those shows.

“I’ll see you in Cork”.

Marking the first gigs of his three year world tour, the Irish shows saw Sheeran perform on a stage that was especially designed to have no blind spots for the audience.

The rotating stage offers 360 degree views while fans were also treated to huge firework displays.

The former busker is set to hit Cork, Limerick and Belfast over the coming weeks. So if you missed him in Croker, you still have time to see him in Ireland at these venues:

  • Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork - Thursday, April 28 and Friday, 29
  • Thomond Park Stadium, Limerick - Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6
  • Boucher Playing Fields, Belfast - Thursday, May 12 and Friday, 13

Denise Chaila and Maisie Peters will play as special guests on all Irish dates.
