Ed Sheeran teases he'd be up for starring on ITV reality TV show as 'it looks fun'

Ed Sheeran revealed he wouldn't mind showing up in a reality TV show as it "looks fun".

The 32-year-old talked about the idea of showing up in the hit series, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! during an appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show.

The Shape Of You singer sits down with Russell Crowe, Lily Allen, Michael Buble and Desiree Burch in the upcoming episode.

He said: "The one I would do is probably I’m A Celebrity… (Get Me Out Of Here!) it looks quite fun.

"Genuinely. It looks fun. If I had time off, you go in a jungle with a bunch of people you sort of know. I’m not going to do it – I do like the idea of it."

In recent weeks, Ed has opened up about his personal life, including how he developed an eating disorder after comparing himself to pop stars like Justin Bieber.

The singer previously said he began struggling with his body image after he collaborated with Justin and Shawn Mendes, who have "fantastic figures".

It made Ed feel "mad uncomfortable" working alongside the toned-up musicians, leading him to "gorge" on food until he vomited it back up.

The award-winning star admitted he is "a binge-everything" person, explaining how he has an eating problem but is now more focused on becoming a "binge exerciser" and a "binge dad".

Ed has compared his battle to Elton John's, who revealed he developed bulimia in his autobiography.

"I'm self-conscious anyway, but you get into an industry where you're getting compared to every other pop star. I was in the One Direction wave, and I'm like, 'Well, why don't I have a six pack?'," he told Rolling Stone.

"And I was like, 'Oh, because you love kebabs and drink beer.' Then you do songs with Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. All these people have fantastic figures. And I was always like, 'Well, why am I so … fat?'."

The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday at 21:40 on ITV1 and ITVX.
