Ed Sheeran is one of the biggest names in the pop industry, which means he's often travelling around the world.
There's one thing that the 32-year-old from Halifax always has in his suitcase, and it has nothing to do with his music.
The foodie always travels with a bottle of hot sauce so he "can spice up any and every meal" while he's away from home.
Now the Shape of You singer has turned his love for hot sauce into his latest business venture, and is releasing a spicy sauce range, which is aptly named Tingly Teds, after his childhood nickname.
Ed, who released his last studio album in October 2021, has been helping to create a range of hot sauces with his band of expert sauce makers for the last two years.
The Thinking Out Loud singer wanted to find a versatile hot sauce that he could leave in the fridge alongside his other condiments.
Two hot sauces will be available to purchase, Tingly and Xtra Tingly, which are supposed to be perfect squeeze to use on fries, nuggets, falafels, fried chicken – or anything else you might use hot sauce for.
Ed explained: "I love sauces, that's no secret. But the older I've got, the more I love and need spice with every single meal."
Ed continued: "I travel a lot, so having a bottle in my suitcase wherever I go that can spice up any and every meal seemed like a good idea. I knew I didn't wanna do a watery hot sauce, as they usually all get relegated to the same shelf of other random hot sauces. I wanted to make a sauce that took the same pride of place as ketchup.
"I had a year of whittling down the perfect flavours with a great mixing team, and we settled on two absolute belters. The tingly and the xtra tingly. I've had them on tour with me recently to try them with all sorts of meals, and there really isn’t anything they don't go with (except bananas, don't do that)."
He continued: "I'm so excited to bring this product out, it's genuinely something I use every day on all three meals. I hope you love them as much as I do x."
Hot sauce fans don't need to be worried about it being too hot, as Tingly is medium and apparently feel like "a warming hug in a bottle"
For those who want a bit of extra spice, they should opt for Xtra Tingly, which is for anyone who wants to take the heat up to the next level.
They both have fresh lemon notes and a smoky flavour, as well as a mix of herbs and spices. In addition, they are all vegan-friendly, and as an added bonus, the bottle is fully recyclable and made with recycled materials.
