Ed McGinty has completed his move to Oxford United just hours ahead of Sligo Rovers’ European clash with Motherwell.
As Mirror Sport revealed last week, the goalkeeper is joining the League One club for a five-figure fee that includes add-ons and a sell-on clause.
McGinty, 22, was also being tracked by Hearts and Dundee United while an unnamed Championship club was also keeping tabs.

“I was aware there were a few clubs showing interest but I left all that to other people and just focussed on playing my football,” said McGinty.
“Then I heard of Oxford’s interest and I saw the way they looked after Luke McNally when he came from Ireland.
“I saw the facilities and as soon as I spoke to the manager and heard the plans they have for the club, I knew I wanted to come here.”
McGinty continued: “It is a big step, moving away from home and settling in at a new club, but that’s exciting.
“All I want to do now is get started and do my best to make the most of this opportunity.
“From my first game to my last, it has been a pleasure to wear the Sligo Rovers crest.
"This decision hasn't been an easy one as I love the club, the town and the community. But I feel it's best to move at this time to further my career."
Oxford boss Karl Robinson said: “He is already a very good goalkeeper and has a terrific attitude.
“We think he has so much potential and we are excited that he wants to come here and be part of what we are building.”
McGinty’s former club Sligo Rovers face Motherwell at Fir Park tonight in the first-leg of their Europa Conference League second qualifying round clash.
