Ecuador fans are creating a lively atmosphere in Liverpool's biggest World Cup fan park.
The ECHO previously reported how the FanPark Liverpool was to open at Sefton Park Cricket Club this month with guests of all ages invited to watch the 2022 FIFA Men's World Cup. Every match of the competition will be played on huge screens in at 2,500 seater Big Top.
As the World Cup kick off tonight on November 20, dozens of Ecuador fans are already watching in anticipation. Going up against hosts Qatar, the opening match stood at 2-0 to Ecuador at half-time.

The fan park is fully covered by the Big Top and features local food suppliers, a fully stocked bar, a variety of entertainment, match day hosts, football legends and more. FanPark Liverpool will also feature a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system.
Images taken by the ECHO show Ecuador fans of all ages, celebrating in the new fan park during the first half, donning their nation's colours with smiles all round. Supporters erupted with cheers for their goals during the opening game's first half.
After a decade of FanParks being rolled out across the world, this is the first in the UK, opening in Liverpool. Entry is completely free but is operated on a first-come-first-served basis, or for those in larger parties or who want to pre-book, there are table reservations for up to eight people.
