E-commerce company eBay reported fourth-quarter results late Wednesday that topped earnings estimates but with a first-quarter outlook short of expectations. EBay stock fell.
EBay reported adjusted earnings of $1.05 a share on revenue of $2.6 billion. Analysts expected eBay earnings of $1 a share on revenue of $2.6 billion.
For the first quarter, eBay expects adjusted earnings in the range of $1.01 and $1.05 a share, below analyst estimates for $1.10. The company expects revenue in the range of $2.43 billion and $2.48 billion. The midpoint of $2.45 billion is below views for $2.62 billion.
EBay stock dropped 8.4% to 50.05 during after-hours trading on the stock market today.
