Ebanie Bridges shares cheeky Will Smith slap joke at Eddie Hearn's expense

Ebanie Bridges has posted a photo of Will Smith's slap on Chris Rock at the Oscars on her Instagram story in a meme that references Eddie Hearn's frequent 'blushing' during her weigh-ins.

The 35-year-old Australian became the IBF Bantamweight champion after defeating Argentinian Maria Cecilia Roman on the undercard of Josh Warrington's Featherweight title win at the First Direct Arena on Saturday. She earned a points win over her opponent to lift the belt after only her ninth professional bout.

There is an ongoing friendly 'tizzy' between The Blonde Bomber and Hearn when she strips down to be weighed before a contest. Hearn is always seen averting his gaze while the measuring takes place.

In her Instagram story on Monday, Bridges made a nod to their on-stage exchanges with a screengrab of the moment Smith hit Rock. Audiences were stunned when the Fresh Prince of Bel Air actor stormed on stage during Sunday's awards show to hit the comedian following a joke made about the hairstyle of wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia.

Smith later apologised for his actions when collecting his first ever Oscar, earning best actor for his role in King Richard, which tells to story of the father of tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams. In her Instagram story post, Bridges put the words "Eddie Hearn" over Rock getting hit by Smith, who had the phrase "Ebaine Bridges weigh-ins" typed over him. She also tagged Eddie Hearn in the post with a laughing emoji.

During the weigh-in prior to her fight with Roman, she handed Hearn a pair of sunglasses in a comical response to their humorous tension. The Matchroom Boxing promoter decided to put the glasses in his pocket rather than wear them.

After nine fights, Bridges holds a record of 9-1. Saturday was the second time she had taken to the ring in Leeds, having also done so at Headingley rugby league stadium in September, where she beat Mailys Gangloff on points.
