World boxing champion Ebanie Bridges has named Leeds United's stadium Elland Road as her ideal fighting venue. Bridges is set for her third fight in Leeds on December 10 on the undercard of Josh Warrington at the First Direct Arena, where she will face Shannon O’Connell.
The 36-year-old bantamweight first arrived in the UK last year to progress her career in Boxing and beat María Cecilia Román back in March for the IBF title. Alongside Warrington, Bridges was then given a lap of honour around Elland Road at half time of Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Southampton the following month.
Bridges was taking part in a Q&A session with her Instagram followers and was asked by someone: 'Do you think you will ever fight at Elland Road?' In reply Bridges posted a video stating: "I would absolutely love to fight at Elland Road. Anything is possible and everything is possible, so yeah, hopefully."

Bridges has also spoke in the past of her desire to fight at Elland Road. She said in an ITU Boxing video, via the Daily Star : "Whenever anybody ever asks me 'if I could fight anywhere in the world where would it be?' It would be Leeds.
“Obviously I was thinking more like Elland Road. I have always been into football and played football when I was younger. When I played football we had a lot of Australian players in Leeds, (Mark) Viduka and (Harry) Kewell and all that. Leeds was always close to my heart as a football fan.
“As I started interacting with the British fans I thought I needed to get back into football and Leeds was perfect because Leeds just got into the Premier League and have Raphinha who is Brazilian and I've got a big affiliation with Brazil. Leeds was just a fit, I just love the Leeds community and fans. I just think I suit them and they suit me."
