The Eaton Fire, currently raging in Altadena, California, has expanded to over 2,200 acres as of Wednesday. The USDA Forest Service reported that the fire has not been contained and more than 700 firefighters are working tirelessly to combat the blaze.
The fire poses a significant threat as it continues to spread in both the east and west directions, leading to spot fires within the communities of Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre. This has prompted authorities to issue evacuation orders affecting a total of 52,314 residents and 20,890 structures. Additionally, 46,847 residents and 18,051 structures are under evacuation warnings.
