With brighter days on the horizon, many of us are gearing up for a holiday abroad.
According to research, around three in five people are planning to go abroad this year, with just over 30% of future holidaymakers planning to book earlier than usual.
However, while planning your holiday, it's important to check the current airline baggage information. Each airline has its own policy and price for hold luggage.

We've rounded up the rules for Ryanair, easyJet, TUI, British Airways and Jet2.
Ryanair
Each passenger can purchase up to three check-in bags of 20kg. Passengers can also add up to 3kg extra excess baggage allowance to the 20kg check-in bag.
In addition, passengers can also check-in sports equipment and musical instruments. Adding the 20kg check-in bag costs between €/£ 20.99 and €/£ 59.99 depending on the route and travel date selected.
Tui
When flying with TUI Airways, you’re entitled to a 15kg luggage allowance on their package holidays. Certain types of holidays come with a bigger allowance of 20kg.
If you’re just booking a TUI Airways flight, you can book checked-in luggage for an extra charge while you’re booking, or through their Flight Extras website if you’ve already booked.
easyJet
Each customer can buy up to three hold bags. A standard hold bag is 23kg. You can buy extra weight in 3kgs units, up to a maximum of 32kg per bag.
If you’re travelling with family or friends on the same flight and booking, you can pool your total weight allowance.
No single item can weigh more than 32kg. Maximum total size (length + width + height) must be under 275cm.
Jet2
Jet2 checked baggage allowance means you can book up to three bags of up to 22kg per person (excluding infants), per flight.
Any baggage that exceeds your total weight allowance will be carried subject to availability and at Jet2's discretion. You will also need to pay an excess baggage fee, which is £12 per kg.
British Airways
All customers can have a cabin bag weighing up to 23kg and measuring 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. Depending on your route, fare and ticket type you may be allowed a checked-in bag of up to 23kg measuring 90cm x 75cm x 43cm.
You can also check in a bag weighing up to 23kg and measuring up to 90 x 75 x 43cm.
Your checked baggage must be checked in before you fly.
