EasyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, Tui: How to check if your flight from Glasgow Airport is cancelled

Airports and airlines around the UK have been feeling the pressure as a surge of holidaymakers prepare to jet off.

Unfortunately airlines such as British Airways and easyJet have faced issues with staff and an IT failure for easyJet has led to a wave of cancellations and rescheduling.

Some of these have been cancelled with short notice, leaving passengers stranded at airports.

To check your flight status from Glasgow Airport, you can see their live arrivals and departure board detailing the flights scheduled for the day here.

For Jet2, Ryanair, easyJet, Tui and British Airways, the airlines should contact customers by email or text if their flight is cancelled.

How to check if your easyJet flight is cancelled

To check if your easyJet flight is cancelled, with real time information, use their Flight Tracker which can also be accessed via our mobile app

If your flight is more than two days in advance, sign in by using your booking reference and last name or your account details.

If your flight is cancelled by the airline, easyJet asks the customer to log on to the Manage Bookings where you can switch to another flight for free, or choose a voucher for the full value of your booking, or request a refund. You can see more information about that here.

Jet2

You can check if your flight is cancelled by entering a flight number or a departure and arrival airport on Jet2's Latest Travel Information page.

The airline's website also has a handy section on its website halfway down its page entitled Latest Travel Information, showing frequent updates on the status of Jet2 flights.

Jet2 state: "If flights are cancelled by us and we aren't able to offer a suitable alternative Jet2.com flight, we'll refund you back to the payment card used to make the original booking."

Ryanair

Ryanair say that they will contact you if your flight is cancelled either by text or email.

They add: "We deeply regret the inconvenience of flight cancellations and we’ll try our best to minimize the impact of these disruptions.

"If your flight is cancelled there are two options available to you to choose from. You can either apply for a refund or change your cancelled flight for free."

Ryanair’s Flight Tracker enables you to check the latest status of your Ryanair flight by inputting your flight number or arrival and departure airport.

TUI

TUI’s dedicated Flight Tracker enables you to check the status of your TUI flight by inputting the flight number and route.

On their website, TUI adds: "At TUI, we always do our very best to make sure your flight is on time, and we're regularly one of the top performing airlines in the UK. That said, sometimes things do go wrong, and in these cases, we'll try to make sure any disruption to your journey is kept to a minimum.

"To see if your flight is delayed please check the most up-to-date information on our Flight Departures page. Please check in normal unless you've been notified otherwise.

"If you're denied boarding, or your flight is cancelled or delayed for at least 3 hours, please speak to staff at the check-in desk or boarding gate to see information that states what your rights are when it comes to things like compensation or assistance."

British Airways

British Airways Flight Tracker allows you to check the status of your British Airways flight on its website and app.

If your BA flight has been cancelled you can claim a refund.

If your flight is cancelled, British Airways encourage their customers to review their EU consumer rights and to visit Manage My Booking to quickly and easily find the options available.
