An Easyjet flight from Edinburgh to Turkey was delayed after an onboard rammy broke out involving "female passengers".
The EZY6946 route from the Scottish capital to Bodrum was disrupted for 30 minutes after a disturbance broke out between four passengers on Wednesday, August 31. The plane was met by police when it arrived.
A source told the Record the "female passengers" on board were removed from the airplane for "behaviour troubles". EasyJet confirmed they were removed and added that they do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards their staff.
A spokesperson for easyJet said: “We can confirm that flight EZY6946 from Edinburgh to Bodrum on August 31 was met by police on arrival as a result of four passengers onboard behaving disruptively.
"EasyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.
“Whilst such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards our staff.
“The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always our highest priority.”
