EasyJet customers are demanding the return of face masks after an increase in flight cancellations this week.
In recent days, easyJet along with British Airways have both been forced to cancel thousand of flights with around 60 alone taken off the schedule today (April 5).
Despite several cancelations over a short period leaving some stranded, the airline has said more could come warning passengers to expect delays if they come to the airport.

Taking to their website they wrote: "There may be delays at the airport security control before your flight and we recommend that you arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight time. Please have your bags ready before you go through security, making sure that any liquids are carried in a see-through and resealable bag, and that any electronic items are carried separately.
"The boarding gate will close promptly 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please share this message with any other customers who are travelling with you. We’re looking forward to welcoming you on your flight!
The budget airline said they may need to make "similar levels of pre-emptive cancellations over the coming days due to the ongoing high level of sickness" but stressed that they are trying to focus on "consolidating flights where we have multiple frequencies so customers have more options to rebook their travel, often on the same day."
Taking to social media to vent their frustration one said: "Bring back masks on planes!!!!" followed by an angry emoji.
Another added: "So completely coincidental that flight crews are off sick the week after masks are removed?!"
A third said: "When did easyJet staff stop wearing masks on their planes? I am guessing about 14 days ago. This is what travel industry were crying out for apparently."
EasyJet updated their mask policy just 10 days ago on March 27 where the rules now state that it is no longer a legal requirement to wear a mask if you’re flying between England, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Isle of Man, Denmark, Sweden, Gibraltar, Hungary, Switzerland, Poland and Iceland.
These rules do not apply in Scotland.
You can check the status of your easyJet flight on their flight tracker here. In order to do this, you will need your flight number or the destinations that you're travelling between. The tracker only displays flights up until two days prior. If passengers want to see further ahead, they should log on to the easyJet website with their login and check their flight at 'Manage Bookings'.
A spokesperson for easyJet told Glasgow Live: "The change was only brought in on 27 March and on limited flights where both ends of the route has no requirements. There is nothing to suggest that the change in policy on this small number of flights is related to the higher crew sickness level."
