A NEW European route from Edinburgh Airport has been unveiled by the budget airline easyJet.
The route to Bordeaux in France will be the only direct flight to the popular city from Scotland.
Discussing the exciting connection, Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK country manager, said that it was "great to be able to offer our customers yet another new route".

She added that the location is the "ultimate culinary break" with the route offering "convenient" access to the city centre for business.
She said that by growing the company's network in Scotland, the firm is continuing to provide greater connectivity for its customers.
Kate Sherry, chief commercial officer (Aero) at Edinburgh Airport, said it was fantastic to see the number of flights from Edinburgh grow.
She said she is "sure these new flights to Bordeaux will go down a treat with passengers."
Flights to Bordeaux are scheduled to take off from June 26, 2025, with passengers able to choose from Thursdays and Sundays.

The French city is said to be famous for its "beautiful stone façades" and "fine wines".
Bordeaux is also said to attract visitors with its "dynamic urban environment, its delicious gastronomy and lively cultural scene."
