Easy last minute World Book Day costumes from Sainsbury's, Asda and Argos

It’s nearly that time of year when children dress up in incredible costumes to transform into their favourite characters for World Book Day.

This year it takes place on Thursday, March 3, so there’s not long left to find the perfect costumes for your little ones.

Don’t worry if you’re yet to find a fancy dress outfit though, as we’ve rounded up a selection of costumes from Sainsbury’s Tu Clothing, George at Asda and Argos.

Whether your child wants to become a Disney Princess, a Harry Potter student or a Superhero, there’s something for everyone.

Sainsbury’s

Tu Clothing has an impressive selection of costumes for World Book Day 2022, including Mary Poppins (from £15) and a Harry Potter Gryffindor uniform (from £15).

There’s also a Peter Rabbit Flopsy Bunny costume (from £15), Gangsta Granny outfit (from £15), Peppa Pig (from £15) and Woody from Toy Story (from £14).

Asda

George at Asda’s fancy dress range for World Book Day includes a Matilda costume from Roald Dahl’s classic (£15), a Hey Dugge outfit (£14), and a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket costume (£10).

If your child wants to be a Superhero, Asda is also selling a Captain America outfit (from £15) and a Batman suit (from £14).

Argos

This World Book Day, Argos is selling a wide selection of fancy dress costumes. If your child wants to transform into a character from Disney’s Frozen, you can buy Elsa’s iconic dress (from £16), Anna’s outfit (from £15) and an Olaf costume (from £14).

Argos is also selling a Hulk costume (from £15), Moana’s outfit from the hit Disney film (from £14) and a variety of Star Wars fancy dress, including a Stormtrooper costume (from £15), The Mandalorian (£20) and Darth Vader (from £15).
