Eastern Michigan and South Alabama got into a full-blown brawl after a wild sucker punch from an EMU player

Saturday should’ve been a pretty special day for the South Alabama Jaguars’ football program.

The team got its first ever bowl game win on its home field in the 68 Ventures Bowl against Eastern Michigan. Not only that, but SAU won pretty handily — the final score was 59-10.

While nothing can take that moment away from South Alabama, one Eastern Michigan player did decide to come in and ruin it.

At the end of the game when South Alabama’s players were on the field celebrating, an Eastern Michigan player decided to run up and punch a South Alabama player from behind.

It led to a full-blown brawl between the two teams after the game.

The Eastern Michigan player who snuck up on South Alabama seemed to get the worst of it.

Eventually, the two teams were separated from one another. But the damage had already been done. This wasn’t a good look. Fans everywhere hated to see it.
