Now coronavirus restrictions have eased, it’s time to finally spend some precious time with loved ones this Easter.
Easter is the most important festival in the Christian calendar, celebrating Jesus rising from the dead three days after he was executed. But for many it’s also a time to spend with family, take part in egg hunts and eating lots of chocolate.
Most supermarkets were closed on Easter Sunday, but they're set to open on Easter Monday - albeit with altered closing times, so it's best to check before heading out to avoid disappointment.

Tesco
Sunday April 17 (Easter Sunday) – Most Tesco stores will be closed, but smaller stores like Express remained open.
Monday April 18 (Easter Monday) – Some stores will be open 8am to 6pm, but this will vary depending on location and store type.

Asda
Sunday April 17 (Easter Sunday) – Most Asda stores were closed, although some stores differed.
Monday April 18 (Easter Monday) - Most Asda stores will be open between 7am and 7pm, but this can differ from store to store.

Lidl
Sunday April 17 (Easter Sunday) – All Lidl stories were closed.
Monday April 18 (Easter Monday) - Some stores open between 7am and 11pm, but check local opening times to be sure.
