EastEnders viewers all say same thing as date set for George Knight's missing wife revealed

Mark your calendars as EastEnders will soon reveal the answer to the question: what happened to Rose Knight? Recent episodes have seen the BBC soap opera introduce the Knight family, who have come to stay with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) in The Queen Vic pub.

No sooner than he’d arrived on Albert Square, viewers began to suspect that George Knight (Colin Salmon) had a dark past. His wife Rose has been missing from the family for nine years and some people think that George knows more than he’s letting on to daughters Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry).

EastEnders will air an extended episode on Thursday, June 22 and all is set to be revealed on the whereabouts of Rose Knight, who some people suspect is actually Cindy Beale. Actress Michelle Collins is rumoured to be making a return to the show alongside Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale - read our interview with him here.

Over on social media, viewers are convinced that Cindy is Rose. One person said: “I think Rose is defo Cindy Beale it wouldnt surprise me tbh.”

A second wrote: “calling it now rose is cindy beale.” And a third echoed: “Rose = Cindy Beale.... It just HAS to be it!!” Do you agree? Let us know in the comments.

Michelle appeared on EastEnders between 1988-1997 and her character Cindy was involved in several major storylines. A year after leaving the show, it was revealed that Cindy had apparently died in childbirth, though no body was ever shown on-screen.

Last month, it was reported that both Michelle and Adam would be returning to EastEnders. At the time, a source told The Sun: “This has been done so secretively but it's going to be an absolute bombshell — an unbelievable twist. Ian and Cindy are one of the most memorable couples in soap history.

“But Cindy has been dead for 25 years — and nobody will see this coming. The biggest surprise is that Michelle has so often said there's no chance she'd come back.”
