It's going to be quite a week for EastEnders' Toby-Alexander Smith.
The actor, 31, who plays serial killer Gray Atkins, is leaving the BBC soap after his character's past finally catches up with him.
Fans have been gripped with the sick storyline for months and now Toby has revealed how he really feels about leaving the show.
Speaking to Radio 2's Zoe Ball, who popped over to the EastEnders set today as the soap switches up its schedule, he said the journey had been "emotional".
EastEnders viewers are being kept in the dark as to how Gray will leave Walford, but he will be caught out - leaving residents baying for blood.
Reflecting on his exit, Toby said: "It is really.... we filmed some stuff the other day and I actually got quite emotional just talking out loud about this whole journey as Gray because it’s been such a rollercoaster, to see it climax and to see it all come together it did actually affect me more than I thought it would."
Zoe replied: "I have to say congratulations on what has been the most epic storyline, we cannot wait to watch four episodes this week and finally see Gray go down, but I tell you what, I’m going to miss him. That’s the weird thing."
The actor agreed, saying: "It’s a love hate relationship I think," to which Zoe gushed: "I can't wait to see what you next, Toby."
One thing Toby will definitely be focusing on after Albert Square is being a first time dad.
The actor's partner, Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh gave birth to the couple's daughter Bonnie at Christmas.
The soap star duo confirmed they were a family of three in a sweet post on social media to celebrate the New Year.
“Well…it's been a busy week! Hope you all had a good one. HAPPY NEW YEAR from the three of us,” they said in a joint statement, alongside a photo of them looking lovingly at their newborn.
Toby, met Amy, who is the sister of Girls Aloud Kimberley, in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.
They began dating in 2020, just before the Covid-19 lockdown, and in September last year, they announced they were expecting their first child together.
EastEnders airs on BBC 1 Monday -Thursday at 7.30pm
