Former EastEnders star Melissa Suffield dares to go bare in a photoshoot that shows off “every lump and bump”.
The 28-year-old actress, famous for playing Lucy Beale in the BBC soap, has been posting a slew of body positive posts since becoming a mum to son River in March.
Her latest social media post saw her posing in white lingerie without a scrap of make-up on and her long blonde hair trailing down her back.
The photo, which received close to 2,000 likes, praised “female owned underwear brands, that empower us and don’t make us feel crap about ourselves when we shop”.
Melissa captioned the post, which she shared with her 25,000 Instagram followers : “Last week I was lucky enough to be asked to take part in @wearewomanhood latest shoot to launch 3 new underwear brands to their site.
“Bloody love that they use real peeps to model, natural light to shoot, we were all totally makeup free – and every bump, lump, mark, or anything else is there to stay – to be celebrated, and not eradicated.”
Fans were quick to comment on the post, praising Melissa for her confidence and bravery.
One wrote: “You are amazing.”
Another commented: “Your confidence just shines out of you.”
“Just want to tell you that you’re bloody ace,” a third added.
While a fourth said: “This is something that I would love to do but just wouldn’t have the braveness that you have. Well done X.”
Melissa shot to fame in 2004, playing Lucy Beale on EastEnders until 2010.
Since leaving the show, she has given birth to son River, who is now 17 months old.
She is engaged to River’s father, Robert Brendan, who she has been in a relationship with for 10 years.
As well as being a body positivity advocate on her Instagram channel @the.confidentmama, Melissa has her own parenting blog.

In another relatable post this week, Melissa shared a throwback picture of her and partner Robert, which she captioned: “I miss the people in the photo!
“They didn’t need to find childcare if they wanted to do something just the two of them, or race back for a nap, or worry about finding a clean face mask.
“The world was simpler in 2019 for a myriad of reasons, and while I wouldn’t change a thing and River is the best little mate, I’d love to go back in time and tell those 2 fresh faced idiots to really squeeze every last drop of life before children and Covid!
“Always take the lie-in, go out to the birthday party at the busy pub, take the spontaneous trip.”
