EastEnders actor James Bye shared the exciting news that his wife Victoria is pregnant with their fourth child – after three years of trying and nearly "giving up".
Making the fabulous announcement on New Year's Day in a shared post on Instagram, the pair revealed they could "hardly believe" it themselves.
Clutching a baby scan snap, the happy couple looked delighted as hundreds flocked to congratulate them both after unveiling their "little secret".
"We’re not just welcoming in the new year in 2023," they teased in the post. "I can hardly believe I’m saying it. But we’re welcoming another little one and we’re over the moon."
The couple opened up about their "endometriosis struggles", including miscarriages and fertility appointments, as the couple tried to expand their family.
They continued: "We never thought it was going to happen. We always wanted a big family but after all my endometriosis struggles… heartbreaking miscarriages, seeing fertility doctors & 3 years of ovulation testing & disappointment - we’d honestly given up.
"I remember thinking right. Enough. I gathered up the pram & baby things & gave them all away. We both knew it couldn’t go on, the constant hope."
They explained that things took a turn when their lives became really busy, with Victoria's marathon training, planning for their vow renewal and James' intense Strictly training.
She added: "Would you bloody believe it... somehow life saw all our plans and threw us a curve ball", as she joked she wasn't sure how the pair found the time.
Victoria teased: "Strictly curse you say? Ha - introducing the glitterball baby!"
"I think after losing a baby you can never fully let go and enjoy," she explained. "Despite the reassuring symptoms (thanks all day ‘morning’ sickness) and the doctors all nodding… you can’t let go of the fear."
She's had support thrown behind her entirely with pals and famous friends rushing to congratulate them on the happy news.
Strictly co-star Ellie Taylor wrote: "Huge congratulations darlings!!", while Kym Marsh added: "So so happy for you all."
James' Strictly partner Amy Dowden also chirped: "So happy for your beautiful family", as Victoria thanked her for her sweet message.
