EastEnders could air another shocking death next week on the BBC soap, as killer Gray Atkins finally faces his comeuppance.
But actor Toby-Alexander Smith has teased it might not be Gray who loses his life in the dramatic scenes - ahead of a big stunt on the show.
Next week airs huge scenes on the soap when Gray's dark past comes to light, and several residents of Walford plan their revenge.
Amid hints of Gray possibly being killed off, the actor has now hinted his character might strike again - with two characters in grave danger.
One family out for revenge is the Carters as they find out Gray murdered Tina, a week on from her body being discovered in the Square.
Gray murdered Tina in December 2020 after she found out he killed his wife Chantelle, in September of that year.
Since then, Gray has gone on to kill Kush Kazemi while recently he began manipulating new wife Chelsea Fox - controlling her before attacking her not too long ago.
But it's Whitney Dean who decides to seek out the killer in upcoming scenes, and events take a huge turn - leading to a stunt.
Toby has now hinted a twist could see Whitney lose her life, while he also suggested Chelsea could be killed - as she too has a showdown with her evil husband.
Believing Gray wouldn't think twice about killing either of them, he revealed: "I think he is capable of killing either of them, absolutely.
"He is very much a caged animal and if he is put in a position where he has to make a decision it is fight or flight, then he will do whatever it takes. I believe he would."
On how far he will go to escape being caught, the actor teased: "I think he’d go to any length to protect himself. He is very much a coward and will do whatever it takes to keep himself safe."
While their fates remain unknown for now, quotes released by the BBC soap have teased the stunt which Toby has now discussed.
Speaking of the moment Gray and Whitney come face-to-face, Toby said: "There are going to be some really tense moments, there is a pretty big stunt involved which we both had a lot of fun filming.
"Ultimately Whitney is fearless at this point, she has been trying to get Gray for a long time so there is massive showdown that is really exciting.
"It was very fun playing them battling out together."
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
