EastEnders star Alex Ferns reveals he is being terrorised by gang of angry baboons

Eastenders star Alex Ferns has revealed he is being terrorists by a gang of rampaging baboons at his family home in Cape Town, South Africa.

The actor, who is best known for playing Britain’s most hated soap villain Trevor Morgan, claims the troop of 45 angry apes have even burgled his home.

The Scottish actor has lived in South Africa with wife Jennifer Woodburne and their two sons since 2017.

The pesky primates live in the mountain area near Alex’s family home, but descend on his home wreaking havoc.

According to the Daily Star, the 50-year-old has bought a pair of Alsatians for protection, but says even the dogs are having a hard time stopping the primates.

He said: “They even come into my house and steal sugar. A big 5kg bag was literally opened and scattered about the house.”

Alex’s neighbours are allegedly just as fed up as he is and have set up a team to patrol the area, shooting paintball pellets at the troublesome baboons.

The star joked that he now tries to spend as much time as possible away from his house, adding: “If I’m not on the beach I’m in the gun range.”

Alex played the nasty character of Trevor Morgan from 2000 to 2002.

During that time, he topped a poll to find the most hated soap villain ever after his character terrorised Little Mo Slater.
