There's emotional scenes ahead for EastEnders fans this week so make sure there's tissues at the ready as Lola receives devastating news.
The final chapter of Lola's journey is about to begin as the young mum receives some bad news about her cancer diagnosis.
Lola is currently receiving palliative, end of life treatment but will be told in heartbreaking scenes that it is no longer working.
The mum-of-one has become so poorly that she's unable to work at the salon so Kim arranges for a karaoke leaving night for her but it all becomes a bit too much for Lola and she steps outside to reflect.
As her leaving do is in full swing, Denise, Honey and Kathy start to panic as they realise that she is missing.
Jay and Billy head out to look for her too and Billy discovers a confused Lola on the floor outside the gym. Lola begins to panic that her speech and mobility is becoming impaired.
Confused Lola then wakes up in hospital surrounded by Ben, Jay and Billy. Doctors then deliver the heartbreaking news that her palliative chemotherapy treatment is no longer working for her.
Towards the end of the week, Jay will sneak Lola out of the hospital to take her to the seaside in scenes which are set to leave viewers tearful.
During their spontaneous trip Lola comes across a lovely necklace that she wants to buy Lexi for her 16th birthday and Jay and Lola have a conversation about the future.
In the coming weeks, spoilers confirming that her heath will deteriorate ahead of her death.
New images show a hearse carrying Lola's coffin being driven through Walford.
Lola's white coffin has engraved hearts on the side, and is surrounded by pink and white flowers including one arrangement that spells out 'Lola'.
Filming often takes place around five to six weeks prior to transmission, so Lola's death may air in June or July.
Recently, Danielle Harold, who plays Lola, took to social media to thank fans for their support as she filmed some of her final scenes on the show.
On Instagram, Danielle said: "Lola’s story has been a very hard one to tell and one that means so much to me and sadly effects so many people.
"Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet historically only 1% of research is allocated to this devastating disease.
"I would like to take a moment for everybody that has reached out to me and shared their experiences with me , I have read every message And hold all of your messages close to my heart whilst playing this story.
"I have been blessed to meet the most incredible people and work with some wonderful charities along the way and I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for all your support advise and love."
Lola first joined the soap in 2011, and after being written out in 2015 she returned again in 2019 with daughter Lexi.
