EastEnders actress Shona McGarty had opened up about the next steps for Whitney Dean after her disastrous wedding to Callum Highway - and it sounds like there could be further heartbreak in store.
Last night, viewers watched as Whitney jilted Callum at the altar before later having an incredibly sad heart-to-heart.
Initially, Whitney had been willing to get married to Callum, despite discovering his fling with Ben Mitchell. In the end, however, she couldn't go through with it.
In the fallout, Whitney blames Ben for everything that has happened.
"She 100% still blames Ben, she’s still really angry at him for ruining everything," actress Shona said. "She’s completely embarrassed and feels like her entire world has come crashing down."
Even though there is so much anger and heart, Whitney will continue to grapple with her feelings towards Callum.
Speaking about how Whitney feels towards Callum, she said: "It’s a tricky one, she still loves him no matter what, I don’t think she’s bitter but it’s awkward isn’t it.
"She’d still do anything for him, but ultimately she’ll love him forever I think."
Asked about what his was like to have her on-screen mum Patsy Palmer back, she said: "It was just the best, Patsy’s absolutely brilliant. When she was back on set, I felt 16 again.
"She’s been away for about 5 years but as soon as she came back it was like she’d never left. Patsy as Bianca is just hilarious, I loved the scene between Whitney, Bianca and Ben outside the registry office, all at each other’s throats, Bianca has some great one liners too – I loved it."
While filming, Shona admitted that there had been a bit of an uncomfortable issue with her wedding dress.
"I think it was one of the hottest days of the year when we were filming the wedding scenes," she said. "It was a bit of a challenge, it was a little bit uncomfortable in the heat, but the wedding was a bit uncomfortable too, so it worked."
