EastEnders drops a baby bombshell next week, that will no doubt cause problems for Linda Carter amid her hopes of reuniting with Mick.
Mick is now dating Janine Butcher, who set out to steal him from love rival Linda months go, managing to do so during Linda's battle with alcoholism.
But it hasn't been smooth sailing for her with Linda constantly around, leading to her taking action in horrifying fashion.
As if almost killing Linda and then framing her for the recent car accident wasn't enough, she allowed her to be set up so that her baby daughter Annie was taken into care too.
Since then, Janine has continued to plot to get rid of Linda, wanting Mick for herself, but next week she's shocked to learn the news she is pregnant.
After feeling unwell with what she believes to be a bug, Janine suddenly faints and is taken to the hospital by Sonia.
While there, Janine gets the news she is pregnant leaving her stunned - but will she tell Mick the truth amid drama with Linda?
It comes as EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw recently said there would be climactic scenes ahead between Janine and Mick, who is leaving the BBC soap.
He teased to The Mirror and other press: "Janine is in a relationship with Mick and we’re building to something very climactic between them."
He added: "Janine has got her everything in Mick and the Vic. But we all know how strong the bond is between Mick and Linda. And we know what Janine’s capable of. I won’t give away exactly how Ricky comes back, but it plays into the Janine story."
It comes as EastEnders confirmed the return of Janine's brother Ricky Butcher following recent reports, with Sid Owen reprising his role for a stint.
Speaking about his return, actor Sid spilled: "I’m delighted to back at EastEnders. I can’t wait to see what Ricky Butcher has been up to these past few years and how he’s going to react to seeing some familiar faces including old flames. I’m excited to see the drama unfold."
Chris, the soap's Executive Producer, added: "It is a great pleasure to welcome Sid back to the role of Ricky Butcher.
"Sid helped to create such an iconic character in Ricky who became so synonymous with the show and we couldn’t be more excited to have him back for a while.
"Ricky has so much history in the Square to explore and while a lot of time has passed since we last saw him, it’s fair to say wherever Ricky goes, he always finds himself slap-bang in the middle of mayhem."
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
