EastEnders return and Emmerdale's Meena in court: Soap highlights for this week

EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street will once again compete this week with big scenes airing on ITV and BBC One.

Residents in all three locations face drama and turmoil, as secrets and lies threaten the peace.

As one soap deals with the fallout to a serial killer finally being caught, over in the Dales another serial killer takes to the stand.

Over in Corrie, Adam Barlow is still trying to prove his innocence as Lydia Chambers continues to lie that they had an affair, in a bid to ruin his marriage and his life.

It's safe to say the drama isn't dying down in soap land any time soon, with huge scenes ahead...

In tense scenes Gray tried to kill wife Chelsea Fox and former pal Shirley Carter, while he also turned on former mother-in-law Karen Taylor.

Residents finally learned he was behind the deaths of Chantelle Atkins, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi - and this week residents will struggle to process the truth.

As residents unite, others fall apart and lash out at each other during a testing time in Walford.

Tiffany returns to try and reach out to ex-husband Keegan Baker, following the news about Gray killing his sister Chantelle.

It's only a brief comeback, but will she manage to get through to Keegan? There's speculation this could be his own exit storyline from the soap.

She shocks everyone when she pleads guilty to the first of her charges, but will she confess to all of her crimes?

It all gets too much for Manpreet amid her having to testify, as she suffers a panic attack and drives off - with her car and phone later found abandoned.

All the evidence alluded to Lydia being truthful, and despite Adam begging Sarah to believe that he was innocent she kicked him out, and has since refused to forgive him.
