EastEnders' pregnant Lily, 12, drops huge bombshell as Martin learns shock truth

EastEnders' Lily Slater, aged 12, will drop a new bombshell on her family next week on the BBC soap, as her stepfather Martin Fowler learns she is pregnant.

The shocking storyline was revealed in scenes on New Year's Day, and since then only her mother Stacey Slater and grandmother Jean Slater have learned the truth.

Lily confessed Ricky Mitchell, known as Ricky Jr, was the father after they slept together once late last year.

Ricky has no idea that Lily is pregnant, while the youngster told her mum that they are not together and that they had sex after opening up to each other, about recent struggles in their personal lives.

Stacey was sworn to secrecy by Lily, with her begging her mum not to tell Ricky or the rest of the family, including dad Martin.

But new spoilers reveal Martin does find out from the police, leaving him raging and horrified.

Stacey learned in the latest episode that the police and the social worker wanted to speak with everyone Lily lived with, to uncover who she had slept with.

Given the shocking circumstances and Lily's age, they revealed they needed to establish whether Lily was safe at home.

While Lily has asked Stacey to stay quiet she has no option but to gather the family next week, spoilers have revealed - but Martin is nowhere to be found.

As Stacey informs her loved ones before the investigators arrive, the Slaters are shell-shocked by the discovery.

Martin is summoned home by Sharon Watts when the police arrive to speak to him, with him yet to be told as Stacey cannot get hold of him.

When he is told by the police what has happened he's shocked, and soon barges in at the Slaters to confront Stacey - leaving Lily feeling ashamed.

Lily ends up sneaking out of the house, and the Slaters are forced to unite to find her.

Later in the week, the police discover Stacey knows who the father is and decide to press her for the information.

As Stacey and Jean try to put on a brave face, Lily senses something is wrong - only for the police to arrive earlier than agreed.

Stacey swears to Lily that she can trust her and hides her in the kitchen, but will Lily reveal the truth about what happened?

After, Martin broaches the subject of an abortion with Lily, not wanting her to go through with the pregnancy.

But soon, young Lily drops another bombshell on him and her family - so what will she reveal?

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
