EastEnders gave a subtle nod to the FIFA World Cup and their match against Iran.
The soap, which has always kept up with current events, put a smile on footie fans' faces after Mick Carter referenced the game.
Danny Dyer's character lamented the "kick up the nuts" that England got four years ago as well as acknowledging the Lionesses mighty win at this year's Euros.
He declared that it was time to come home for the men's team, who won against Iran in tonight's game.
Every single scene from the first half of the episode had references to the World Cup, including when Kathy Beale, played by Gillian Taylforth ordered cupcakes with the word "England" spelled wrong.
Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, said that she was "working on an important match day plan" meaning it was going to be a double shift for Janine.
The episode focused on Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) and how he struggled with Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) having her first radiotherapy session.
He was comforted by Freddie Slater ( Bobby Brazier ), who tried to cheer him up by speculating on how England was going to tackle Iran.
England ended up with a win of 6-2 against the opposing team.
Fifa has been met with criticism after Qatar was chosen to host the World Cup.
The loudest issue for many is the fact that it is still illegal to be homosexual in the country.
Adding fuel to the fire, FIFA president Sepp Blatter urged LGBTQ+ fans to "refrain from any sexual activities".
Comedian Joe Lycett, who identifies as queer, has been furiously holding "gay icon" David Beckham to account after he failed to end his multimillion-pound promotion deal with Qatar.
He urged David to step away from the endorsement, threatening to shred £10,000 of his own money if he didn't before the first game of the World Cup.
Wearing a rainbow-striped ruffled top, he picked up the cash and dropped the pile into a wood-chipper.
The star was met with backlash, with fans calling him "vile" for wasting such a huge sum of money during the cost of living crisis.
However, Joe, who is known for his high profile stunts, revealed that he "would never destroy money", and he had in fact donated the cash before he delivered the ultimatum to David.
"I haven't quite told you the whole truth… Because the truth is, the money that went into the shredder was real, but the money that came out was fake," he said on a video message.
