EastEnders: Louise Mitchell thwarts Keanu's plan to flee Walford with news about Phil

EastEnders airs tense scenes in the fallout to Phil Mitchell’s attack, as one suspect prepares to flee Walford.

Keanu Taylor is innocent, but Phil’s son Ben Mitchell is trying to frame him for the attack on his father out of jealousy.

Stacey Fowler hit Phil over the head with a wrench in shocking scenes, with Ben covering up the crime and even delaying calling an ambulance.

As Phil continues to fight for his life in hospital, tensions rise as the family wait for news at his bedside.

But a discovery at the start of the week sends Keanu running scared, fearing a motive for him being the culprit will be revealed.

Keanu finds out that he has been included in Phil’s will, and worries the police will believe he tried to bump him off for the money.

Ben also found this out recently, with him having been replaced in the document leading to his dark plan to get rid of Keanu.

As Phil remains unconscious, Keanu confides in mum Karen about his situation, and she encourages him to flee the Square.

He’s just been pulled in for more questioning by the police, further worrying him that he could be their main suspect for the crime.

His pregnant girlfriend Louise, Phil’s daughter, stops him in his tracks though, as she reveals some news.

She has an update on Phil’s condition it seems, while no details have been revealed about what that news is.

It was revealed on Friday that the Walford legend may have sustained brain damage in the attack, but doctors won’t know until he wakes from his coma.

Viewers will have to tune in next week as an arrest takes place, to see who the police take in and what consequences it will have on the family.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
