EastEnders have revealed the huge secret Lisa Fowler is hiding - as she made her return to the soap after four years.
Fans were shocked and thrilled to see Lisa - played by Lucy Benjamin - back in Walford with her granddaughter Peggy in tow. However, her arrival spelled trouble for Keanu, who is preparing to settle down and marry his bride to be, Sharon.
Last night, viewers watched on as Keanu handed over £3,000 to Lisa after she blackmailed him to give up the money if he wanted to spend time with his daughter Peggy. Desperate to bond with his child, he used the money that Sharon had given him to pay for their wedding venue deposit to hand over to Lisa and he was soon able to spend time with his daughter.
Clearly having the best day, Keanu was overjoyed to see Peggy getting on with Albie whilst Sharon also seemed glad to be involved with the little one's life. As Keanu and Sharon headed to the Queen Vic to tell Lisa they could pick Peggy up whenever they wanted, Lisa seemed shady when Sharon said that she had ate all her dinner, and some of theirs too.
She said she was heading to the house to pick the little one up, before taking her back to Sonia’s where she has been staying. Keanu stopped her and thanked her for letting him spend time with the child. However, she quickly issued a new demand.
“Lisa, I know I’ll never be able to make things better with Louise, but I’m so grateful you let me get to know Peggy. It was one of the best days of my life. Can I see her again?” he asked, seemingly hopeful that they could all have another family day.
Lisa had other ideas, as she told him: "Yeah sure, for a price. It’s going to cost you another £20,000 and £2,000 every month until she’s 18. Call it maintenance," leaving him absolutely shocked and unable to comprehend what she was asking.
When Keanu said he didn’t have that kind of money and would be telling Sharon, Lisa just laughed and said there was no way Keanu would be telling his bride to be that he gave her the £3,000 set aside for their wedding venue deposit.
Later, as Lisa sat with Peggy, it was revealed what she has been hiding. As she sat on her phone, the camera flipped to show her playing an online game. It appeared she had already gambled away all the money that Keanu had gave her yesterday and was just looking for her next payment to gamble it all away again, as she promised she'd buy the teddy for Peggy tomorrow.
