EastEnders' Letitia Dean looks 'years younger' with new slimmed down physique

EastEnders' star Letitia Dean looked incredible as she made her return to Albert Square on Wednesday night.

The Sharon Watts actress looked even more glamorous than ever, with a slimmed down frame and a new hairstyle. Viewers flocked to social media to compliment the star.

Taking to Twitter, soap fans heaped praise on Letitia's new look. Some said she looked much younger than before, while one viewer compared her to Hollywood icon Margot Robbie.

During the episode, Sharon referenced her huge change, saying: "I've been pampered, polished and plucked", the Mirror reports. Viewers quickly took to Twitter to compliment Letitia.

Carly Jeffries said: "Wow! Doesn't Sharon look great?" while Matthew Foster said: "Letitia Dean is a true icon and looks absolutely flawless as Sharon tonight". Hayley B said: "Sharon looks years younger" and Wayne Power said: "Honestly thought Margot Robbie had popped up in the Square. But no. It's only our pampered, polished and plucked Sharon"

Back in 2020, Letitia recalled how she was targeted by cruel trolls over her weight. Speaking on spin-off show Secrets from the Square, she said: "I had quite a lot of horrible things said about me. 'She's too fat, the other actors complain they can't fit on the same set with her'."

Sharon has been a regular on the soap since her first appearance in 1985, after making appearances in Grange Hill and Liverpool soap Brookside. She had set her heart on acting from a young age, attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, and began her career early when she was cast as Pepper in stage musical Annie aged 12.

EastEnders airs daily, Monday to Thursday, at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
