EastEnders' James Bye and his wife Victoria announce exciting baby news

Strictly Come Dancing 2022 contestant James Bye has announced the exciting news that he and his wife Victoria are expecting their fourth child. The EastEnders star appeared on the dance show in 2022 and was partnered up with Wales' Amy Dowdnen. However, he became the fith celebrity to leave the competition in week 6 after the dance show's Halloween special.

Taking to social media platform Instagram, the 38-year-old soap star's wife Victoria and him wrote a long joint message detailing their joy at baby number four and the challenges they faced due to Victoria's endometriosis struggles, leading them to "never [think] it was going to happen".

The post, which accompanied four pictures of the happy couple - who have been together for ten years and share three boys already, Edward, eight, six-year-old Louis, and Hugo, three - read: "So… we’ve been keeping a little secret… We’re not just welcoming in the new year in 2023…

"I can hardly believe I’m saying it. But we’re welcoming another little one and we’re over the moon. We never thought it was going to happen. We always wanted a big family but after all my endometriosis struggles… heartbreaking miscarriages, seeing fertility doctors & 3 years of ovulation testing & disappointment - we’d honestly given up. I remember thinking right. Enough. I gathered up the pram & baby things & gave them all away. We both knew it couldn’t go on, the constant hope.

"And we were ok, we’d accepted how lucky we’d already been and so we got on with life. And life got crazy. I started training for my marathon, we began planning our vow renewal abroad, James started the intense Strictly regimen… all wrapped up with a big 40th birthday bonanza (I did milk it just a bit )

"And would you bloody believe it… Somehow life saw all our plans - and threw us a curve ball … (How we found the time I’ll never know - ‘Strictly curse’ you say?! Ha - introducing the glitterball baby!)

"And suddenly our world has been turned upside own… The boys are giddy ☺️(‘We’ll always have someone to sit next to on a rollercoaster now!’ Ever the practical Louis) and yet as I smile, still amazed, I can’t help but worry… I think after losing a baby you can never fully let go and enjoy… despite the reassuring symptoms (thanks all day ‘morning’ sickness) and the doctors all nodding… you can’t let go of the fear. And so all I can do is just keep ticking off the days and hoping…"

Victoria added: "Thank you for all of your support this past year but if you need to unfollow for awhile… trust me, I get it. The pregnancy announcements just keep on coming when you’re trying… but I also hope that this might offer a little bit of hope too," before concluding the lengthy caption with: "2023 - wish us luck xx"

Famous pals and the pair's Strictly and EastEnders co-stars soon flooded their comments, showering them both with love.

James' Strictly partner Amy wrote: "So happy for your beautiful family xxxx" as well as Ellie Taylor, who this year was partnered up with Johanes Radebe, and Ellie Simmonds who added: "Huge congratulations darlings!!" and "Congratulations Xx so exciting!".

Singer and actress Kym Marsh also said: "So so happy for you all" alongside Dragon's Den star Sarah Davies, who commented: "Amazing news!!! So thrilled for you all!".

Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, who plays Ash Panesar on EastEnders, too, wrote: "congratulations to you and @jimmybye such amazing news xxxxxx" as well as the official EastEnders page, which simply posted a series of emojis - the hands up, clapping and love heart emojis.
