EastEnders fans have been left fuming over the BBC soap's storyline involving social workers, suggesting that they were disappointed by their "inaccurate portrayal".
Ofcom has received 193 complaints about the storyline so far.
Viewers have watched Linda Carter's heartbreak as Janine Butcher's nasty scheming led to her daughter, baby Annie, being taken away from her.
Janine managed to plant empty bottles of alcohol where Linda was staying with Annie after the social services were called to visit them.
While she was in court, Linda gave a heartbreaking speech about her shame of drink-driving while Annie was in the back, leading her to cause an accident. She's still unaware that it was Janine - again - who set her up.
She was issued with a five-year ban from driving, a £1,000 fine and 200 hours of community service by a judge, but was left devastated after she was told they had received a report that Annie could be in danger.
The report said that empty bottles of alcohol had been found, suggesting that she had relapsed.
Social services insisted on taking Annie to the hospital to get checked out, even though Linda insisted that the bottles weren't hers and that she wasn't drinking again.
However, fans have been left unimpressed by the vilification of social workers and took to Twitter to comment.
One tweeted: "My goodness I hope Janine gets what's coming to her!"
While another commented: "That is beyond evil. Imagine 2 mothers scheming to take another baby away from their mother."
A third wrote: "My Heart is breaking for Linda."
