EastEnders fans are sure they know what Phil Mitchell will do next - now he knows his son was raped.
Phil has been telling Kathy he is done with his son after he discovered he was drinking and taking drugs, but Kathy knows why Ben is pushing the self-destruct button at the moment, and she urged Phil to reconsider.
In emotional scenes tonight, Kathy broke down as she begged Phil to stay supporting Ben, as she said he needed them more than ever right now - but Phil was adamant tough love was the way forward and proceeded with his plan.
Kathy begged him: "He needs our help Phil. He doesn't even want to live," but Phil said he was completely "done" with the whole situation, adding: "No I'm done with him, it's just words, he doesn't mean it."
She then replied: "He's our son and he's broken. He's just lashing out," as Phil blamed Ben for what happened, sharing: "And that's what he does, isn't it? He pushes everyone and everything away."
"He's hurting Phil. We don't get to just walk away," Kathy warned.
However, Phil seemed sure of his decision.
"I've tried Kathy, I've really tried - but nothing's ever good enough. Drinking and drugs, the only one that can save you is yourself and he's ruined his marriage because of some stupid lovers' tiff and we're supposed to get out the violins?
"Kathy, he hit you! So don't make excuses for him."
She then broke down in tears, as she said: "I get it, because I have been there. Doing the right thing, knowing what the right thing even is. He's going to hate me for this, but you're his dad.
"You and me Phil, we shouldn't have any secrets. This, all of this, is because Ben was raped."
But now fans of the soap are convinced they know how Phil will respond - and it wouldn't be out of character.
"Phil Mitchell is going to go nuclear. #EastEnders," one wrote, as a second added: "Phil Knows. Bye Bye Lewis #EastEnders."
A third shared: "aaand now Phil knows so at least he can get revenge on that scum #EastEnders."
"Finally!! Kathy told Phil Ben was raped! Now we can get Ben the help he needs hopefully with Phil’s support. He was only going to walk away when he thought Ben had an affair. Now he’ll keep trying to help him. #EastEnders," a fourth wrote.
