EastEnders fans 'work out' heartbreaking Mitch Baker death as history repeats itself

Mitch Baker could find himself in danger in EastEnders as he continues to grow suspicious of Nish Panesar and fearful for the safety of his wife Suki.

In recent scenes, Mitch (Roger Griffiths) began to fear Suki (Balvinder Sopal) is a victim of domestic abuse after she ended up in the hospital following an unexplained accident.

EastEnders fans will know Mitch blames himself for not being able to protect his daughter Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) from her abusive and murderous husband Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith).

Throughout last week Mitch's attempts to help Suki were rebuffed by her husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry) leading him to fear the worst about their marriage.

Fans of the BBC soap have praised Suki and Mitch's friendship but fear their closeness could lead to the taxi driver falling victim to Nish's jealous rage.

Writing in an EastEnders forum, one Reddit user wrote: "Shoutout to whoever decided to involve Mitch in the Suki storyline. He was great this week and I hope EE maintain their friendship."

Another added: "It definitely redeems a little bit what was done with the Chantelle storyline, and I love Mitch too so I'm glad to see him do something."

However, a third warned: "If Nish finds out, he's going to become more paranoid about Mitch and Suki. Mitch could be in danger if he finds out."

Elsewhere, this week, Nish was arrested on suspicion of pushing Suki down the stairs but subsequently released when she refused to blame her husband for her accident.

Although Suki has decided she wants to make her marriage work and turn her back on her lover Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), she may not be able to stop Nish from trying to work out who spoke to the police.

If Nish realises Mitch believes he is abusing his wife, he may lash out violently as he did in the past.

The businessman was behind bars when the Panesars first arrived in Walford after being convicted of murdering a man who he believed was having an affair with Suki.
