EastEnders fans 'work out' Freddie's secret - and it's not that he's Lily's baby's father

EastEnders fans are convinced they've worked out why Freddie Slater has been behaving weirdly lately.

Fans of the BBC soap are convinced Freddie could be hiding that he is the father of Lily's baby after it was confirmed this week that the 12-year-old was pregnant. Stacey Slater was shocked by the news and she's still unsure who Lily might have slept with. Last night, she finally confided in Jean about what happened and got the support she so needed.

Other viewers of the show are sure they've rumbled what secret he's really hiding and it has nothing to do with Lily's pregnancy.

One wrote: "my theory is that it was either nugget or a grown man that did this to lily. i don’t think it was freddie because maybe reason why bobby looked at him weird in the cafe is bcs they messed with the boiler #EastEnders."

"Why do I seem to remember #Freddie trying to fix the boiler awhile ago!! #EastEnders @bbceastenders," a second added, as a third shared: "The way bobby reacted when harvey was blaming the panesars for the boiler idk id say ryan is right and bobby knows freddie caused the leak by tampering with it it's just the look he gave #EastEnders."

A fourth penned: "I think Freddie tampered with the boiler after he set up Jean and Harvey on Thursdays episode #EastEnders."

"I think Freddie may have been at the boiler, that's his guilt not Lily #Eastenders @bbceastenders," a fifth wrote.

The huge storyline has had everyone guessing on who the father of the baby might be, with actress Lacey Turner opening up on Stacey's reaction to the news her 12-year-old daughter was pregnant.

"Stacey’s in complete and utter shock. They’re talking about her twelve-year-old daughter, who doesn’t have a boyfriend, and as far as Stacey knows, isn’t really that into boys. Initially, Stacey thinks that the doctors must be wrong. After that, she goes through every single emotion that you could possibly feel in such a short space of time," she said.

"Jean is Stacey’s rock, her best friend, and they have such a strong connection. Stacey and Jean have been through so much together, and Jean’s the only person who can really properly understand Stacey inside and out. For Stacey to share this secret with her mum is a massive weight off of her shoulders, but she also wants someone to tell her what she should do. In Stacey’s head, she’s thinking, ‘Do I just go with what Lily wants? Should I be angry? Should I tell Lily she can’t keep the baby?’ Stacey is just looking to Jean for some help. She wants someone to tell her, ‘Stacey, this is what you do.'"
