EastEnders fans are convinced they've worked out who kills a man this Christmas - and it's none of the six women.
In a special flashforward scene aired earlier this year, it was confirmed death would come to the Square this Christmas, as an unknown man was shown lying dead on the floor with six women around him.
Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki ( Balvinder Sopal ) were all seen standing over the body, as Sharon confirmed the man was dead.
Viewers are yet to know if it's murder or an accidental death, but some clues from the scene have revealed some possible theories on what might have happened - and how things ended up that way.
More and more information is set to be revealed in the coming months, before the scenes play out on Christmas Day and all is revealed about the person who's dead, who killed them (if anyone did) and what happens next.
Now fans are convinced that the killer isn't actually any of the women - Denise, Kathy, Linda, Sharon, Stacey and Suki.
" #Eastenders I think there will be a secret 7th on Christmas Day, I thought it could have been Eve or Shirley but now I’m starting to think it could be Karen. When Sharon looks up & says his dead she’s looking at Karen. At the moment I’m thinking Karen hits Nish & kills him," one viewer penned as they shared their theory with other fans on social media.
Another wrote on Twitter of what they hoped might happen: "Suki and Karen need to team up to take down Nish. Karen has been abused herself and knows that Chantelle was also abused. Suki is between a rock and hard place at the moment with Nish and needs people on her side to bring him down including Eve Karen Stacey etc. #EastEnders."
EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw previously teased to "expect the unexpected" with the Christmas scenes.
He said: "I've already given you a scene from Christmas; I can't give you anything more, I'm afraid! But what I will say is… expect the unexpected. I'm not going to give anything away that the episode hasn’t already given, but what I will say is there were clues in there.
"Did you look closely? I urge everyone to re-watch the scene and look at every detail. There’s also a few treats in the scene if you look hard enough. What I’d also say is that a lot can happen in Walford between February and December."
He added: "Circumstances can change, relationships can change, loyalties can change – so what you may suspect now could be somewhat different as we make our way through 2023 and head towards Christmas."
